If you are currently preparing for your GCSE English Language or English Literature exams, then you know how important it is to be able to identify and analyse a wide range of language and structural techniques.
That is exacly why I've made my Fiction Technique Bank. It aims to teach you a wide range of language and structural techniques that you can use to help you study any set fiction text in your course, and/or to help you prepare for analysing unseen fiction texts.

The Potential Effects is incredibly useful - if I do say so myself - for helping you to start thinking about how you can analyse the techniques in the bank. Ultimately, that is what this technique bank aims to enhance; it is not about being able to recite what polysyndeton is or give an example of cacophony. It is about you being able to spot the more advanced crafting happening in a text and being able to then analyse how that crafting creates meaning. There's also, of course, a great secondary use: in your own creative writing. You can treat this bank like your own writer's toolkit in order to advance and diversify the techniques you use.
