About Mrs Wear

My lifelong passion for reading and studying English has shaped who I am today. The texts I studied in school hold a special place in my heart, and I am deeply committed to instilling that same love of literature in my students. Having excelled in my GCSE and A Level English qualifications, I studied at the University of Warwick, where I earned a First Class Degree in English & Creative Writing. 

With over ten years of teaching experience, I have dedicated my career to helping hundreds of young people reach their full potential. For the past eight years, I have taught at an independent school ranked in the UK top ten for GCSE results. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how to support high-ability students in achieving the highest grades.

I have successfully helped students improve their grades from 5 or 6 to 8 and 9, and I am eager to assist you on your GCSE journey as well.
