Sophisticated Vocabulary
Examiners are naturally swayed by precise, sophisticated expression. However, high-level vocabulary isn't about using long words for the sake of it - it's about finding specific terms that unlock deeper insight into the play's themes and characters. Moving from calling Mrs. Birling "mean" to describing her as "supercilious" or "callous" instantly sharpens the quality of your analysis.
In this video, I introduce a curated list of high-level vocabulary designed specifically for An Inspector Calls essays. For every word, I explain its definition, demonstrate how it connects to key characters and themes, and walk you through specific quotes where it can be applied. Master these words to elevate both the eloquence and analytical depth of your writing.
